 One axis miniature coil specially designed to verify the operation of magnetic probes.

BH600-3-A

 Three axes coil-set of 600 mm in nominal diameter, for laboratory and general uses. It can be also supplied in versions of one or two axes.

BH300-3-A

Three axes coil-set of 300 mm in nominal diameter, for laboratory and general uses. It can be also supplied in versions of one or two axes.

BH1300-3-A

Three axes coil-set of 1300 mm in nominal diameter, for laboratory and general uses. It can be also supplied in versions of one or two axes.

BH600-3-B

Three axes coil-set of 600 mm in nominal diameter, for laboratory and general uses. It is an improved version of the BH600-3-A. It can be also supplied in versions of one or two axes.

Accessory: PBH1300-P/R-1

Supporting base for BH1300-xx. To place the coil-set at a comfortable height, what also reduces the distorting effect due to the iron, or steel, that could be located under the floor surface.

Coil-sets for higher field homogeneity

We can manufacture coil assemblies of three, four, or more coils per axis. Among the best known and more used are the two named as Braunbek coils and Barker coils, both of four coils per axis.

Supply of single coils:

    We can supply single coils, as a spare part for these standard sets or for to be used on another assemblies, for diverse applications or experiments. The coils corresponding to this family of sets are batch produced and would have a substantially lower price than the ones specially made with other characteristics. In addition, the quadrangular coils are quite more costly than the circular ones.

Examples of special coils already produced

 

   A coil pair of 1260 mm of effective diameter, shielded in copper tube. Well suited for the study of small magnetic screens (shields) and the effects of a low magnetic field in different objects or devices. It is feasible a sealed construction  for outdoor use.

   A set of coils in three axes, of 491 mm in diameter, specially designed to fit the interior of a cylindrical magnetic shield supplied jointly. It combines circular and square coils for an optimal use of the space. Each coil can be removed and re-installed as advisable.

A coil-set of 270 mm (larger pair), for three axes. It generates 500 microT/A per axis, to 2 mT (20 Gauss) in a steady way. Specially constructed to be introduced in a test hole of 300 mm in diameter. A very strong assembly.

A three-axis, DC/AC, coil-set, in a two layers magnetic shield. With a solenoid (diam. 338 mm) and two pairs of cubic coils. It has a maximum access space for that shield size.

Three-axis coil-set of 800 mm in diameter. It generates 333 microT/A (3.33 G) on each axis, to 1 mT (10 G) in a steady way.

It is shown with a power pair of 300 mm installed at its centre.

A power coil-set, on one axis, of 300 mm in diameter.  Its generates  850 microT/A, to 8,5 mT (85 G) in a steady way.

 It is shown also in the preceding picture.

Helmholtz for radiofrequencies.

Three-axis coil-set of 600 mm in diameter, for laboratory and general uses. It generates fields to 2 MHz.

 

High power, water cooled

Of 40 mm in effective diameter. For high frequencies (> 100 kHz). Field/Current ratio: 720 microT/A. To 29 mT (290 G), in DC and AC.

Of 57 mm in effective diameter. Fueld/Current ratio: 5.2 mT/A. To 100 mT (1000 G) in a steady way. DC and AC operation.

Of 80 mm in effective diameter. Field/Current ratio: 25 mT/A. To 150 mT (1500 G) in a steady way. DC and AC operation.

Sensing coils for variable magnetic fields

Of 500 mm in diameter, with high sensitivity. The coils are shielded against electric field disturbances.

It is ideal for the measurement of the magnetic moment  in magnets.

The frame allows to install every kind of accessories.

All the coils are made robust but with a reasonable weight, with proven non-ferromagnetic materials and accurately. In all cases the produced field by the Helmholtz pairs is less than 1% off the theoretical value.
